1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, remember preferences, and provide information to site owners.
This Cookie Notice explains what cookies and similar tracking technologies we use today, why we use them, and how you can control them. It applies to the Orchcast platform and all associated domains.
2. How We Use Cookies
We use cookies only for essential platform operation. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, or any third-party analytics cookies at this time. If we add analytics, advertising, or other non-essential tracking in the future, we will update this notice and obtain any required consent before those cookies are set.
4. Non-Essential Cookies - Current Status
As of the effective date of this notice, Orchcast does not set any of the following:
- Google Analytics or similar product-analytics cookies
- Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, or other advertising/marketing pixels
- Customer-support chat or monitoring cookies beyond session context
- Any third-party cookies placed by embedded content or integrations
If any non-essential cookies are introduced in the future, they will be listed here with their provider, purpose, and expiry before they are activated.
5. Third-Party Services and Cookies
We integrate with third-party services to operate the platform. These services may set their own cookies on your device when you use their features (e.g., making a payment via Stripe, publishing to LinkedIn, or rendering a video via HeyGen). We do not control these cookies and they are subject to the respective provider's privacy and cookie policies:
- Stripe - payment processing cookies set by Stripe when you enter or confirm billing details.
- LinkedIn - OAuth and publishing cookies set by LinkedIn when you connect an account.
- HeyGen - video rendering cookies set by HeyGen during avatar/video processing.
We only enable these integrations when you choose to use them. If you do not connect a third-party service, those cookies are not set.
7. Jurisdiction-Specific Disclosures
British Columbia (PIPA): PIPA governs our collection, use, and disclosure of personal information in BC, including cookies that can identify an individual. We use only essential cookies necessary for the service you requested.
European Economic Area / United Kingdom (GDPR): If you access the platform from the EEA or UK, essential cookies do not require consent under the UK GDPR / EU GDPR. Should we introduce non-essential cookies in the future, we will implement a consent mechanism prior to their deployment.
Other jurisdictions: If you access the platform from a jurisdiction that requires prior consent for cookies, we will adapt our consent configuration accordingly before deploying any non-essential cookies.
8. Updates to This Notice
We may update this Cookie Notice from time to time to reflect changes in our technology, partnerships, or legal requirements. If we introduce new categories of cookies or change how we use existing ones, we will update the effective date and, where required, obtain consent before the change takes effect.
